How do I reduce the diameter of a table tennis ball?
The ball must pass through a hole smaller than the current diameter of a table tennis ball. The ball must then return to its normal shape and size.
Two possibities:
1) Cooling it significantly will reduce the volume of air in the ball and cause it to shrink, allowing it pass through the hole. Unfortunately, table tennis balls become brittle at cold temperatures, and there's no guarantee that the ball would recover 100% when warmed back up.
2) Increasing the ambient air pressure significantly will again cause the ball to shrink (the inside pressure remains the same as before). In this case the surface of the ball would likely actually warm up somewhat so that it does not lose it's elasticity the way it would if cooled.

Having Fun With Table Tennis
Table tennis, also known as Ping Pong is a sport that can be played indoors and outdoors as the designated table divided by a net present outdoors and the conditions are ideal for play. But generally, table tennis is a sport interior. The basics of the game at two or four players hit a ball and each resulting from the use of paddles. If you saw a professional table tennis you'll be fascinated by the speed of reflexes players.
Sometimes you can not even follow the ball movement because of the rapid plays. To experts, even the players can hit the ball so it creates a spin to the ball bounce which makes it difficult to predict. But these professional athletes have quick reflexes as the quick reaction time allowing them to strike with confidence and return the ball to the opponent.
As you've probably seen at sports events and in films, table tennis is a great success in East Asia particularly in China, where many great players come. In China, Taiwan and Hong Kong, table tennis called Qiu Ping Pang while in Japan it is called Takkyu Korea and the sport is called Tak-ku.
To give you an idea of the rapid reaction should be, during the Olympics plays, the ball speed was measured at a speed of 112.5 km / h or 69.9 miles per hour. This speed is quite difficult to follow especially on a small table only 274 cm x 152.5 cm x 76 cm high. Speaking of the table, the table is more often painted green or dark blue.
Some tables are black. There is a clear in the middle which is about 15.25 cm or 6 inches. The table tennis ball is a small ball of celluloid. Measuring 40mm in diameter, the ball is hollow and quality is determined by the bounce, roundness and consistency.
The original purpose of the game was to see who will be able to obtain a score of 21 in the first. But in 2001, the governing body of international table tennis that score 11 points rule.
The race to 11 has since been adopted in international competitions. But the 21 point scoring system is still played by most people in recreation even small competition.
