Plastic Bridge Head

In need of a jig head big enough for snapper?

I fish off of a bridge at ramrod key in south florida and often, in the evening, there are nice snapper that show up, anywhere from 2-7lbs, and i want to try to go after them with soft plastics. What I had in mind was a 5" gulp alive jerk shad (pearl white) and was wondering what jig head would work best for the bigger snappers. atleast 3/4-1oz and a hook big enough for the mouths of those big snappers. I havent had the chance to go to bass pro so i can only look online, but its hard to determine if the jighead is big enough just by the picture.
I always catch the snappers, and i know how to catch them, im just interested in catching them on soft plastics just for fun. so can somebody answer the question i asked; what jig head should i use (3/4-1oz) that has a big enough hook for the snappers.

and there are mangrove snappers, but the big ones usually arent mangroves, most of the time its mutton.

okay, you're seeing 2-7 pound Snapper from a bridge off Ramrod Key. Bet ya don't know why it's called Ramrod key?! Don't think messed up, there's history behind the name. Anyways, You're spotting Snapper, probably Mangrove Snapper ( a.k.a Gray Snapper) and if they're in the 2-7 pound range ( I don't know but 7 pounds seems a bit exaggerated but hey, we came dream.) they're not stupid Snapper. These fish have been around the block. Lures won't work on the big dogs unless their totally desperate. Why? This tourist hot spot has thrown everything from beanie weenies to the ultimate double digit priced lures at 'em! Your best chance is to lower your line diameter, I stress fluorocarbon like none other here within a 3 foot range as leader line, a split shot well above and a single short shank live bait hook with either a jumbo shrimp, 50 cent sized mojarra or like sized pinfish. You'll have to work through the little ones to get to the big ones but that's fishing. ~good luck catchin'
