Is it possible to have Endometriosis even if my laparascopy came back negative?

My doctor suspected I had Endometriosis because I have symptoms such as menorrhagia, extreme pain, a very retroverted uterus( I have never been pregnant) and my mother also had Endometriosis. I've only had symptoms for about a year and I'm only 19 years old. I recently had a diagnostic Laparoscopy with a biopsy, but it came back "negative" for endo. My doctor did, however tell me that I have severe adhesions from my appendix, along my bowl, and up to my liver. The adhesions were not in my uterus or other female reproductive organs. He also mentioned that I might have an "extra appendix which may have caused flare-ups resulting in the adhesions"...but I think he just sounds crazy. I'm so frustrated, because I was expecting answers from this surgery and all he could do is shrug and tell me, "it's a hormonal imbalance". I feel like something is off. Also, is there anything I can do about my tipped uterus? It causes a lot of pain during sex.

I think he sounds crazy, too. You definitely need to seek out another doctor. Adhesions often occur with women in endometriosis. If a doctor is not skilled and experienced with endometriosis, he may not recognize it in all its forms.
