Are you allowed to place your cue on the table to line up a shot?
Im unsure of this rule and there has been quite a bit of controversy over it. Are you allowed to do this as long as your not touching any other balls on the billiards table?
As long as your hand is still on it, then it's ok. It's covered pretty clearly here:
6.12 Cue Stick on the Table
If the shooter uses his cue stick in order to align a shot by placing it on the table without having a hand on the stick, it is a foul.
